Retained Search


When a position is critical to the organization's performance, a retained search may be the better choice.

 

As a retained search consultant, we are hired to conduct a search for an individual fitting clearly defined specifications.   The question arises as to why a client would choose retained search when they could choose contingency and only pay when a candidate is hired.


The answer is quite simply “service”. A retained recruiter having been hired with payment guaranteed can afford to fully represent the client in seeking the best candidate available to fill the position. 

 

In completing retained engagements, we frequently surface candidates that are not a "best fit" for the current search but are nevertheless quality professionals. These individuals are added to our large database of potential candidates. 

We are happy to conduct a database search for appropriately qualified candidates when requested to do so by an interested employer. We are happy to refer these candidates on a contingency basis.
